With the launch of a new state of the art scooter, we are expanding our talented team to reach new heights.We are looking for a superhero to be our new Public Policy Manager to help us scale into new markets. In this role, you will help to get our message to governments and constituencies, and build relationships that allow us to more effectively deliver our micro-mobility service to users around the world. We wanna hear from you!Every superhero has super responsibilitiesYou will:- Reporting to the Senior Manager Policy amp; Communication, build and maintain relationships with local and regional governments across the region
- Support in developing policy strategies and objectives
- Represent Wind in meetings with governments and other stakeholders in order to forward our advocacy goals
- Draft position papers, formal documents and presentations
- Navigate and summarise complex legislative proposals and advise on appropriate courses of action
- Arrange grassroots campaigns and anticipate regulatory challenges
- Establish and grow relationships with regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders
- Attend and speak at conferences and events when necessary
- Interpret the impact regulation could have on the scooter business and translate those messages back to other departments
- Monitor regulatory updates and political changes, and undertake necessary engagement
- Work closely with Operations, Legal, Product and other teams in order to implement legislative requirements
You have:- 5-6 years of first-hand experience working in national, regional or local governments and/or public policy experience in an emerging sector, either in-house for a company or a consultancy. Additional experience in PR amp; media relations is a plus
- Proactive and pragmatic approach
- Take initiative and own amp; realize your ideas self-responsibly
- Strong project management skills
- Fluency in English amp; one of the following languages: French, Hebrew and/or Italian
- Strong presentation and negotiating skills
- Proven network of relevant contacts and in-depth understanding of the political landscape and legislative processes for one of the following markets: France, Israel and/or Italy
- Passion about micro-mobility and making cities more liveable
- Detail-driven mindset with first-class communication and interpersonal skills
- Inclusive attitude, enthusiastic to work in a multicultural team and ability to find order in chaos
- Self-starter attitude with ability to take initiative
- Excitement for frequent travels around the region
- Willingness to start on 3-months temporary contract (with possibility of extension)
